SEASON OF CHANGE

Season of change life feels so strange
Look into my eyes,do you see yhe truth¿
I'm lost and alone,feelings unknown
They come to me stronger than before

On winds of time my soul will fly
The angels are knocking at my door
Oh now I need to be free

Let it be my dreams
Let it be my thoughts
All those things in my heart
One too many days
One too many years
I wasted for nothing

I never realized
The truth is inside
Of every man for all the sea
Listen to me now
I'm so close to you
Never felt like this before

The carousal is spinning fast
Better enjoy while it lasts
Every moment is like gold
You'll remember when you're old
And the meaning of this life
Is to live and is to die
Make the best out of your dreams
There are the world where you are free

All the sorrow and the pain
Will be washed away by rain
An eternal joy will come
It can be found by evertone
Though the end is drowing near
I'm not feeling any fear
I have found the truth
After all the tears I cry

BEN RÜYÂLARIN DOKUMACISIYIM
Geleneksel İnuit Şiiri

Ben rüyâların dokumacısıyım
Rüyâ bekçisiyim ben.
Yavaşça uykunda yürürüm
Ve kalbine görüntüler yerleştiririm.
Yumuşak gece rüzgarları üstünde yolculuk ederim.
Rüyâ Ruhlarının ülkesinde kesintisiz.
Uyurken seni korurum.
Ben Koruyucu Ruhum…

Yaralar, incitirler onlar.
Sözcükler gözyaşlarının başlamasına sebep olurlar.
Onun kalbi fısıldar, “her zaman değil
Di bizim kalbimiz taştan.”
Gülümser gizli bir gülümseyiş.
Hatırlayarak değişik fısıltılar.
Beraberdi onlar, ayrıldılar.
O gözyaşlarını kurutur.
O şimdi fısıldar
“evet, kalbi taştan…
Hiç kırılmayacak tekrar…”
I AM A WEAVER OF DREAMS
Traditional Inuit Poetry

I am the weaver of dreams.
I am the dream keeper.
I gently walk thru your sleep
and place visions in your heart.
I travel on soft night winds
thru the land of Dream Spirits.
I protect you while you sleep.
I am the Guardian Spirit...
the Guardian of your dreams...

Yes, I have danced with the wind...
the wind and I frolick
in fields of sunshine and tall grass.
We make dandelion spirits fly to the heavens
and watch as they gently returned to earth.
my wind and I are strong.
We danced headlong to unknown places,
throwing caution aside.
These are the summers of seeking.
The wind and I dance a rebel's dance.
Soon the wind will softened
And I will dance to another song.
This dance brings a lover's kiss to my lips,
A gentle caress to my cheeks.
As we dance, I learn to love and be loved.
The wind whispers to me
And holds me close in its gentle arms.
The wind is a soft warm breeze and sings to me.
While we wait to dance our final dance...
Yes, I dance with the Wind...

Whispers
Whispers behind his back,
Whispers just above a whisper.
Not loud enough for all to hear,
But loud enough for him to hear...
"heart of stone", he hears
Carried on the soft winds.
The words wound, they hurt.
The words cause tears to start.
His heart whispers, "not always
did we have a heart of stone."
He smiles a secret smile.
Remembering different whispers.
They were together, they were apart.
He dries his tears.
Now he whispers
"yes, a heart of stone...
Never to be broken again..."[/i]

THE TURN OF THE CENTURY
By Wislawa Szymborska

It was supposed to be better than the others, our 20th century,
But it won't have time to prove it.
has not.
Fear was to leave the mountains and valleys.
The truth was supposed to finish before the lie.
Certain misfortunes
were never to happen again
such as war and hunger and so forth.
These were to be respected:
the defenselessness of the defenseless,
Ölmek—bir kediye yapılacak şey değil.
Ne yapsın ki kedi
boş bir apartmanda?
Duvarlara mı tırmansın?
Mobilyayı mı fırçalasın?
Hiçbirşey değişmezdi burada,
fakat birşey değisti.
Hiçbirsey yerinden oynatılmadı,
fakat daha çok yer var.
Ve geceleri lamba yanmıyor.

Merdivenlerde ayak sesleri duyuluyor,
fakat aynı değiller.
Tabağa balığı koyan el
de değişik.

Burada birşey başlamıyor
herzamanki vaktinde.
Burada birşey olmuyor
olması gerektiği gibi.
Birisi buradayken ve buradan,
Ve sonra aniden yok oldu ortadan.
Ve şimdi inatla yok.

Bütün dolaplar incelendi
ve bütün rafların içinde koşturuldu.
Halının altına kayıp kontrol etmek bir işe yaramadı.
Hattâ kurallar bozularak bütün kağıtlar etrafa dağıtıldı.
Başka yapacak ne var?
Uyu
ve bekle.

Hele bir geri gelsin o,
kendini göstersin.
O zaman anlayacak
ki bu bir kediye yapılacak şey değil.
Ona doğru giderek
istemiyormuş gibi yapıp,
yavaşça,
çok fazla gücenmiş patilerin üzerinde.
Ve zıplamadan, mırlamadan ilk önce.
CAT IN AN APARTMENT
By Wislowa Szymborska

Dying--you wouldn't do that to a cat.
For what is a cat to do
in an empty apartment?
Climb up the walls?
Brush up against the furniture?
Nothing here seems changed,
and yet something has changed.
Nothing has been moved,
and yet there's more room.
And in the evenings the lamp is not on.

One hears footsteps on the stairs,
but they're not the same.
Neither is the hand
that puts a fish on the plate.

Something here isn't starting
at its usual time.
Something here isn't happening
as it should.
Somebody has been here and has been,
and then has suddenly disappeared
and now is stubbornly absent.

All the closets have been scanned
and all the shelves run through.
Slipping under the carpet and checking came to nothing.
The rule has even been broken and all the papers scattered.
What else is there to do?
Sleep and wait.

Just let him come back,
let him show up.
Then he'll find out
that you don't do that to a cat.
Going toward him
faking reluctance,
slowly,
on very offended paws.
And no jumping, purring at first.

de değişik.

Burada birşey başlamıyor
herzamanki vaktinde.
Burada birşey olmuyor
olması gerektiği gibi.
Birisi buradayken ve buradan,
Ve sonra aniden yok oldu ortadan.
Ve şimdi inatla yok.

Bütün dolaplar incelendi
ve bütün rafların içinde koşturuldu.
Halının altına kayıp kontrol etmek bir işe yaramadı.
Hattâ kurallar bozularak bütün kağıtlar etrafa dağıtıldı.
Başka yapacak ne var?
Uyu
ve bekle.

Hele bir geri gelsin o,
kendini göstersin.
O zaman anlayacak
ki bu bir kediye yapılacak şey değil.
Ona doğru giderek
istemiyormuş gibi yapıp,
yavaşça,
çok fazla gücenmiş patilerin üzerinde.
Ve zıplamadan, mırlamadan ilk önce.
CAT IN AN APARTMENT
By Wislowa Szymborska

Dying--you wouldn't do that to a cat.
For what is a cat to do
in an empty apartment?
Climb up the walls?
Brush up against the furniture?
Nothing here seems changed,
and yet something has changed.
Nothing has been moved,
and yet there's more room.
And in the evenings the lamp is not on.

One hears footsteps on the stairs,
but they're not the same.
Neither is the hand
that puts a fish on the plate.

Something here isn't starting
at its usual time.
Something here isn't happening
as it should.
Somebody has been here and has been,
and then has suddenly disappeared
and now is stubbornly absent.

All the closets have been scanned
and all the shelves run through.
Slipping under the carpet and checking came to nothing.
The rule has even been broken and all the papers scattered.
What else is there to do?
Sleep and wait.

Just let him come back,
let him show up.
Then he'll find out
that you don't do that to a cat.
Going toward him
faking reluctance,
slowly,
on very offended paws.
And no jumping, purring at first.

A "THANK YOU" NOTE
By Wislawa Szymborska

There is much I owe
to those I do not love.

The relief in accepting
they are closer to another.

Joy that I am not
the wolf to their sheep.

My peace be with them
for with them I am free,
and this, love can neither give,
nor know how to take.

I don't wait for them
from window to door.
Almost as patient
as a sun dial,
I understand
what love does not understand.
I forgive
what love would never have forgiven.

Between rendezvous and letter
no eternity passes,
only a few days or weeks.

My trips with them always turn out well.
Concerts are heard.
Cathedrals are toured.
Landscapes are distinct.

And when seven rivers and mountains
come between us,
they are rivers and mountains
well known from any map.

It is thanks to them
that I live in three dimensions,
in a non-lyrical and non-rhetorical space,
with a shifting, thus real, horizon.

They don't even know
how much they carry in their empty hands.

"I don't owe them anything",
love would have said
on this open topic.

BİR “TEŞEKKÜR” NOTU
Wislawa Szymborska

Çok borcum yoktur
sevmediklerime.

Onların birbirine daha yakın olduğunu
kabullenmekten gelen iç rahatlığı,

Onların koyunlarına kurt
olmadığımdan, sevinç.

Barış onlarla birlikte olsun
çünkü ben onlarla hürüm,
ve şu, sevgi ne verebilir,
ne de almasını bilir.

Beklemem onları ben
Neredeyse bir güneş saati
Manzaralar belirgindir.

Ve yedi tane nehir ve dağ
aramıza geldiğinde,

onlar nehirler ve dağlardır
bilinen her haritada.

Onlar sayesindedir
üç boyutta yaşamam,
heyecansız ve güzel sözleri olmayan bir uzayda,

A "THANK YOU" NOTE
By Wislawa Szymborska

There is much I owe
to those I do not love.

The relief in accepting
they are closer to another.

Joy that I am not
the wolf to their sheep.

My peace be with them
for with them I am free,
and this, love can neither give,
nor know how to take.

I don't wait for them
from window to door.
Almost as patient
as a sun dial,
I understand
what love does not understand.
I forgive
what love would never have forgiven.

Between rendezvous and letter
no eternity passes,
only a few days or weeks.

My trips with them always turn out well.
Concerts are heard.
Cathedrals are toured.
Landscapes are distinct.

And when seven rivers and mountains
come between us,
they are rivers and mountains
well known from any map.

It is thanks to them
that I live in three dimensions,
in a non-lyrical and non-rhetorical space,
with a shifting, thus real, horizon.

They don't even know
how much they carry in their empty hands.

"I don't owe them anything",
love would have said
on this open topic.

BİR “TEŞEKKÜR” NOTU
Wislawa Szymborska

Çok borcum yoktur
sevmediklerime.

Onların birbirine daha yakın olduğunu
kabullenmekten gelen iç rahatlığı,

Onların koyunlarına kurt
olmadığımdan, sevinç.

Barış onlarla birlikte olsun
çünkü ben onlarla hürüm,
ve şu, sevgi ne verebilir,
ne de almasını bilir.

Beklemem onları ben
What needs to be done?
Fill out the application
Regardless of the length of life,
a resume is best kept short.
Concise, well-chosen facts are de rigeur.
Of all your loves, mention only the marriage;
of all your children, only those who were born.
Memberships in what but without why.
Honors, but not how they were earned.
Write as if you'd never talked to yourself

Pass over in silence your dogs, cats, birds,
dusty keepsakes, friends, and dreams.

Price, not worth,
His shoe size, not where he's off to,
In addition, a photograph with one ear showing.
What matters is its shape, not what it hears.
What is there to hear, anyway?

What Actually Love Is...

What Actually Love Is

Why do we close our eyes when we sleep? When we cry?
When we imagine? When we kiss?
This is because the most beautiful things in
the world are unseen.

We are all a little weird and life's a little weird
and when we find someone whose weirdness
is compatible with ours,
we join up with them and fall in
mutual weirdness and call it love.

There are things that we never want to let go of,
people we never want to leave behind,
but keep in mind that letting go isn't the end of the world,
it's the beginning of a new life.

Happiness lies for those who cry, those who hurt,
those who have searched and those who have tried.
For only they can appreciate the importance of the people
who have touched their lives.

A great love? It's when you shed tears and still
you care for him,
it's when he ignores you and still you long for him.
It's when he begins to love another and yet you still smile
and say I'm happy for you.

If love fails, set yourself free,
let your heart spread its wings and fly again.
Remember you may find love and lose it, but when love dies,
you never have to die with it.

The strongest people are not those who always win
but those who stand back up when they fall.

Somehow along the course of life,
you learn about yourself and realize
there should never be regrets,
only a lifelong appreciation of the choices you've made.

A true friend understands when you say, I forgot,
waits forever when you say, just a minute,
stays when you say leave me alone,
opens the door even before you knock and says can I come in?

Loving is not how you forget but how you forgive,
not how you listen but how you understand,
not what you see but how you feel,
and not how you let go but how you hold on.

It's more dangerous to weep inwardly rather than outwardly.
Outward tears can be wiped away while secret tears scar forever.

In love, very rarely do we win
but when love is true, even if you lose,
you still win just for having the tingle of loving someone
more than you love yourself.

There comes a time when we have to stop loving someone
not because that person has stopped loving us
but because we have found out
that they'd be happier if we let go.

It's best to wait for the one you want than settle for one that's available.
Best to wait for the one you love than one who is around.
Best to wait for the right one
because life is too short to waste on just someone.

Sometimes the one you love turns out to be the one who hurts you the most,
and sometimes the friend who takes you into his arms
and cries when you cry
turns out to be the love you never knew you wanted.

If you really love someone never let go,
don't believe that letting go means that you love best,
instead fight for your love,
that's what true love is.

Laugh to your heart's content; you cannot go
through life without it.

and not how you let go but how you hold on.

Attitude Determines Attitude

I woke up early today, excited over all I get to do
before the clock strikes midnight.

I have responsibilities to fulfil today.
I am important.
My job is to choose what kind of day I am going to have.

Today..
I can complain because the weather is rainy
or
I can be thankful that the grass is getting
watered for free.

Today..
I can feel sad that I don't have more money
or
I can be glad that my finances encourage me to plan my
purchases wisely and guide me away from waste.

Today..
I can grumble about my health
or
I can rejoice that I am alive.

Today..
I can lament over all that my parents
didn't give me when I was growing up
or
I can feel grateful that they allowed me to be born.

Today..
I can cry because roses have thorns
or
I can celebrate that thorns have roses.

Today..
I can mourn my lack of friends
or
I can excitedly embark upon a quest
to discover new relationships.

Today..
I can whine because I have to go to work
or
I can shout for joy because I have a job to do.

Today..
I can complain because I have to go to school
or
eagerly open my mind and fill it with rich new
titbits of knowledge.

Today..
I can murmur dejectedly because I have to do housework
or
I can feel honoured because the Lord has provided
shelter for my mind, body and soul.

Today..
Stretches ahead of me, waiting to be shaped.
And here I am, the sculptor who gets to do the shaping.

What today will be like is up to me.
I get to choose what kind of day I will have!
Have a Great Day...
Unless you have other plans.

I Believe...

I believe-
that we don't have to change friends
if we understand that friends change.

I believe-
that no matter how good a friend is,
they're going to hurt you every
once in a while and you must forgive
them for that.

I believe-
that true friendship continues to grow,
even over the longest distance.
Same goes for true love.

I believe-
that you can do something in an instant
that will give you heartache for life.

I believe-
that it's taking me a long time
to become the person I want to be.

I believe-
that you should always leave loved ones
with loving words. It may be the last
time you see them.

I believe-
that you can keep going
long after you can't.

I believe-
that we are responsible for what we do,
no matter how we feel.

I believe-
that either you control your attitude
or it controls you.

I believe-
that regardless of how hot and
steamy a relationship is at first,
the passion fades and there had
better be something else to take
its place.

I believe-
that heroes are the people
who do what has to be done
when it needs to be done,
regardless of the consequences.

I believe-
that money is a lousy way of keeping score.

I believe-
that my best friend and I can do anything
or nothing and have the best time.

I believe-
that sometimes the people you expect
to kick you when you're down,
will be the ones to help you get back up.

I believe-
that sometimes when I'm angry
I have the right to be angry,
but that doesn't give me
the right to be cruel.

I believe-
that just because someone doesn't love
you the way you want them to doesn't
mean they don't love you with all they have.

I believe-
that maturity has more to do with
what types of experiences you've had
and what you've learned from them
and less to do with how many
birthdays you've celebrated.

I believe-
that it isn't always enough to be
forgiven by others. Sometimes you
have to learn to forgive yourself.

I believe-
that no matter how bad your heart is broken
the world doesn't stop for your grief.

I believe-
that our background and circumstances
may have influenced who we are,
but we are responsible for who we become.

I believe-
that just because two people argue,
it doesn't mean they don't love each other
And just because they don't argue,
it doesn't mean they do.

I believe-
that you shouldn't be so eager to find out a
secret. It could change your life forever.

I believe-
that two people can look at the exact
same thing and see something totally.
different.

I believe-
that your life can be changed in a matter of
hours by people who don't even know you.

I believe-
that even when you think you have no more
to give, when a friend cries out to you
you will find the strength to help.

I believe-
that credentials on the wall
do not make you a decent human being.

I believe-
that the people you care about most in life
are taken from you too soon.

Life Still Has A Meaning

If there is a future there is time for mending-
Time to see your troubles coming to an ending.

Life is never hopeless however great your sorrow-
If you're looking forward to a new tomorrow.

If there is time for wishing then there is time for hoping-
When through doubt and darkness you are blindly groping.

Though the heart be heavy and hurt you may be feeling-
If there is time for praying there is time for healing.

So if through your window there is a new day breaking-
Thank God for the promise, though mind and soul be aching,

If with harvest over there is grain enough for gleaning-
There is a new tomorrow and life still has meaning.

My Fairytale

In these few lines I will show you what’s in my heart
The promise of never ending love since the very start
When you walked in to my life many years ago
Falling into a love like this now never did I know

My heart had been played around before and it was known
You did not tamper with my heart just loyalty was shown
You are the prince who woke me from my deep sleep
The knight in shining armor who I fell in love with so deep

You treat me like a Queen and I'll treat you like my King
I will give my love, anything you wish to you I will bring
Each hug I know I'm safe being held in yours arms
Holding your hand during the time, you protect me from harm

Each time I feel the distance when we separate
My heart feels so lonely passed the hour of eight
My eyes miss your presence having in front of my face
I can't live without you cause my heart starts running a race

Our love is strong enough, for in any army it could fight
It will last as long as the feeling of holding me tight
This love is deeper then the ocean that were surrounded by
During this relationship I've never had to ask why

Once upon time when to the world I was lost
Now I am found through the cold frost
I feel like the Cinderella putting on her glass slipper

In my heart I feel like a princess going to the ball
Dressed in beautiful clothes covered by a shawl
We have a fairytale love for the whole world to see
A beautiful bond, so kind and sharing between you and me.
It's not about if your hair is blonde,
red, black, or brown.
Or if your skin is too light or too dark.
Not about what grades you get,
how smart you are,
how smart everybody else thinks you are,
or how smart standardized tests say you are.

It's not about what clubs you're in
or how good you are at "your" sport.
It's not about representing your whole being
on a piece of paper and seeing who will "accept"
the written you.

LIFE JUST ISN'T!

But, life is about who you love
and who you hurt.
It's about who you make happy
or unhappy purposefully.

It's about keeping or betraying trust.
It's about friendship, used
as a sanctity or a weapon.
It's about what you say and mean,
maybe hurtful, maybe heartening.

About starting rumors and
contributing to petty gossip.
It's about what judgments you pass and why.
And who your judgments are spread to.

It's about who you've ignored
with full control and intention.
It's about jealousy, fear,
ignorance, and revenge.
It's about carrying inner hate and love,
letting it grow, and spreading it.

But most of all, it's about using your life
to touch or poison other people's
hearts in such a way that could
have never occurred alone.
Only you choose the way
those hearts are affected,
and those choices are
what life's all about...
